Benjamin Mouton (born 10 October 1948) is a French architect. He is architecte en chef des monuments historiques and until 2013 was inspector general of historic monuments. Born in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, Mouton studied in Georges-Henri Pingusson's studio at the école nationale supérieure des beaux-arts and the UP6 à l'école nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris. Throughout his career, Mouton has held various positions overseeing the preservation and restoration of historic buildings, including the cathédrale Saint-Corentin de Quimper, the Arc de triomphe de l'Étoile, the Val-de-Grâce, the École des beaux-arts, the Hôtel des Invalides, and the École militaire. He also served at the cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris from 2000 to an unspecified date.
