Bernice Albertine King is an American lawyer, minister, and civil rights activist. Born on March 28, 1963, she is the youngest child of renowned civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. At the age of five, she tragically lost her father to assassination. Inspired by her parents' activism, King decided to pursue a career as a minister, delivering her trial sermon two decades after her father's death. She gained international recognition at the age of 17 when she was invited to speak at the United Nations. Throughout her life, King has continued to honor her parents' legacy, delivering eulogies at her mother's and sister's funerals and supporting the presidential campaign of Barack Obama in 2008.
