Bill Bradley
Bill Bradley is an American politician and former professional basketball player. Born on July 28, 1943, in Crystal City, Missouri, Bradley achieved success in both academics and basketball from a young age. He declined numerous college scholarships to attend Princeton University, where he excelled on the basketball court and won a gold medal as a member of the 1964 Olympic basketball team. After graduating, Bradley attended Oxford on a Rhodes Scholarship. He played professional basketball for the New York Knicks from 1967 to 1977, winning two NBA championships. Following his basketball career, Bradley entered politics and served three terms as a Democratic U.S. senator from New Jersey from 1979 to 1997. He also ran for the Democratic Party's nomination for president in the 2000 election.
