    Bill Lewis Biography
    Bill Lewis (born August 1, 1953) is an English artist, story-teller, poet, and mythographer. He is best known for being a founder-member of The Medway Poets and the Stuckists art group. Born in Maidstone, Kent, England, Lewis attended Westborough Secondary Modern School before leaving in 1968. In 1975, he co-started a series of poetry readings called Outcrowd at the Lamb pub in Maidstone. Lewis had a nervous breakdown in 1976 and spent three months in a psychiatric ward. He studied Foundation Art at Medway College of Art and Design from 1977 to 1978. Lewis continues to contribute to the art and literary scenes with his unique style and perspective.
