Billy Curtis Biography
Billy Curtis (born Luigi Curto; June 27, 1909 – November 9, 1988) was an American film and television actor known for his portrayal of little people. With a career spanning 50 years, he primarily worked in the western and science fiction genres. Curtis had an uncredited role as a Munchkin city father in The Wizard of Oz (1939) and appeared in Alfred Hitchcock's Saboteur (1942) as part of a circus troupe. He also featured in Superman and the Mole Men (1951) and played an alien visitor in an episode of The Adventures of Superman TV series. Notable among his western roles was his appearance in High Plains Drifter (1973), starring Clint Eastwood.
