Billy Griffith
Billy Griffith (16 June 1914 – 7 April 1993) was an English cricketer and cricket administrator. He played as a wicket-keeper for Cambridge University, Surrey, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), Sussex, and the England national team. Born in Wandsworth, London, Griffith was educated at Dulwich College and Pembroke College, Cambridge. He achieved over 1,200 runs during his time in the 1st XI at Dulwich and won his blue while at Cambridge. He toured Australia and New Zealand with the MCC in 1935–36. After graduating, Griffith became a cricket master at Dulwich and joined Sussex as their first-choice wicket-keeper in 1939.
