Bob Banks Biography
Bob Banks (born 1930) is an Australian former rugby league footballer, known for his career as a five-eighth. He represented his adopted state of Queensland on twenty-six occasions and made fourteen Test and nineteen other tour match appearances for the Australian national team between 1953 and 1962. Banks began his rugby league career in the Newcastle area, representing at the Hamilton Primary and Central High School. He then moved to Sydney in 1950 to play for the Eastern Suburbs club. After his first season, Banks relocated to Charters Towers in Queensland and went on to represent Northern Queensland against France in 1952.
