Bob Olin (1908-1956) was an American boxer who became the World Light Heavyweight champion on November 16, 1934. Born on July 4, 1908, in New York City, Olin grew up in Brooklyn and began boxing at the Lower East Side's Educational Alliance. He won the New York City Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight Championship in 1928. Olin continued to work as a messenger for a Wall Street brokerage office while pursuing his boxing career. Trained by Ray Arcel and managed by Harold Scadron, Olin achieved success in the boxing world. His victory against Maxie Rosenbloom at Madison Square Garden earned him the World Light Heavyweight title.
