    Robert Clark Seger, born on May 6, 1945, is a retired American singer, songwriter, and musician. Seger began his career as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and the Bob Seger System in the 1960s, gaining local success in the Detroit area. He achieved national recognition with his album Ramblin' Gamblin' Man in 1969. Throughout the early 1970s, he formed the Silver Bullet Band and aimed for broader success, eventually achieving it with the live album Live Bullet in 1976. Seger's breakout studio album, Night Moves, was released in the same year. He collaborated extensively with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section on his studio albums. Seger remains a notable figure in American rock music history.
