Bob Shaw
Bob Shaw (31 December 1931 – 11 February 1996) was a science fiction writer and fan from Northern Ireland. He is known for his originality and wit, and won the Hugo Award for Best Fan Writer in 1979 and 1980. Shaw's notable works include the short story 'Light of Other Days,' a Hugo Award nominee in 1967, and the novel 'The Ragged Astronauts,' a nominee in 1987. Born and raised in Belfast, Shaw developed a passion for science fiction at a young age. He joined the group Irish Fandom in 1950, alongside fellow Northern Irish writer James White. Shaw's contributions to the genre continue to inspire and entertain audiences.
