Bob Woodruff
Bob Woodruff is an American television journalist, born on August 18, 1961, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He has been a reporter for ABC News since 1996 and co-anchored ABC World News Tonight in 2006 alongside Elizabeth Vargas. Woodruff's career took a significant turn when he was severely injured by an IED explosion during a reporting trip to Iraq in January 2006. After a slow recovery, he returned to air. Woodruff graduated from Cranbrook Kingswood school in 1979 and earned a B.A. from Colgate University in 1983, where he excelled in lacrosse. He later received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1987.
