Bobby Gonzalez, born Robert P. Gonzalez on March 18, 1963, is a former basketball coach and current scout for the Detroit Pistons in the NBA. He gained recognition as the head coach at Manhattan College and Seton Hall University, leading the Jaspers to two NCAA tournaments and securing their second tournament win in school history. Prior to his coaching career, Gonzalez served as an assistant under Pete Gillen at various universities. Born in Binghamton, New York, Gonzalez graduated from Buffalo State College in 1986. He started his coaching journey as an assistant at Broome Community College and then moved to Binghamton University. Gonzalez also coached at high schools, including St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School and Rice High School in Manhattan.
