Boomer Esiason Biography
Boomer Esiason is an American former football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons. Born on April 17, 1961, Esiason was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 1984 NFL Draft. He spent a total of 10 non-consecutive seasons with the Bengals, where he achieved great success. In 1988, Esiason won the NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and led the Bengals to Super Bowl XXIII. Throughout his career, he was named to four Pro Bowls and one first-team All-Pro. Esiason also played for the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals. After retiring from football, he became a respected football analyst for CBS Sports, Showtime's Inside the NFL, and previously ABC, HBO, and Westwood One.
