Brent Woody Musburger (born May 26, 1939) is an American sportscaster, known for his work with CBS Sports, ESPN, and ABC Sports. He is currently the lead broadcaster and managing editor at Vegas Stats and Information Network (VSiN). Musburger was one of the original members of CBS' program The NFL Today and is credited with coining the phrase 'March Madness' to describe the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. Throughout his career, Musburger covered major sporting events such as the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, World Series, U.S. Open tennis, and The Masters. He also hosted Monday Night Football, Saturday Night Football, and provided play-by-play for the SEC Network. Musburger left ESPN and ABC television networks in January 2017 after 27 years.
