Brett Porter Biography
Brett Porter was an Australian producer, writer, and director known for his work in television. He began his career at ATN-7, where he produced some of the first drama made for Australian television. In 1964, he joined the ABC, where he worked on documentaries and contributed to Four Corners. Porter also served as a producer on the TV series Bellbird. He passed away in 1970 at the age of 57. Some of his notable works include Johnny Belinda, Two Men of Fiji, Pardon Miss Westcott, and Pastures of the Blue Crane. Porter's contributions to the industry are remembered and preserved at the National Film and Sound Archive.
