    Brian Day (born January 29, 1947) is a Canadian orthopedic surgeon, health researcher, and former president of the Canadian Medical Association. He is known for his advocacy for the privatization of Canada's health system and is the founder and medical director of the Cambie Surgery Centre and Specialist Referral Clinic in Vancouver, British Columbia. Day is currently involved in a high-profile lawsuit, Cambie Surgeries Corporation v. British Columbia (Medical Services Commission), against the provincial government. Raised in Toxteth, Liverpool, England, Day comes from a working-class background and was influenced by his parents' socialist beliefs. He later shifted his political stance to the center-right due to disillusionment with the British labor movement.
