Brian Gallagher
Brian Gallagher is an American executive and former President and Chief Executive Officer of United Way Worldwide. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was raised in Hobart, Indiana in a family of six children. Gallagher graduated from Ball State University with a degree in social work in 1981 and joined United Way as a management trainee. He later earned his MBA from Emory University in 1992. In 2002, Gallagher became the President and CEO of the United Way of America, a role he held until 2009 when United Way of America and United Way International merged to form United Way Worldwide. He was appointed as a trustee of Ball State University in January 2017 by then-Governor Mike Pence.
