Brian Lucas Biography
Brian Lucas (born January 20, 1940) is a British Anglican priest and retired military chaplain. From 1991 to 1995, he served as Chaplain-in-Chief, and head of the Royal Air Force Chaplains Branch, as well as Archdeacon for the Royal Air Force. Lucas was born in Port Talbot, South Wales, and studied Humanities at St David's College, Lampeter, before pursuing Theology at St Stephen's House, Oxford. He was ordained as a deacon in 1964 and as a priest in 1965, serving at Llandaff Cathedral and later in the parish of Neath. In 1970, Lucas was commissioned as a chaplain in the RAF. Throughout his career, he had chaplaincies in Cornwall, Malta, East Anglia, and Cyprus.
