Brian McGrath Biography
Sir Brian Henry McGrath (27 October 1925 – 4 June 2016) was a British businessman and public servant. He served as the Private Secretary to the Duke of Edinburgh, holding various positions within the Office of the Duke of Edinburgh from 1982 to 1995. McGrath was educated at Eton College and served in the Irish Guards during World War II. He had a successful career in the brewing and wine industry, including directorships at Victoria Wine Ltd and Grants of St James Ltd. McGrath was also a Master of Wine. He was honored with the title of GCVO and passed away at the age of 90.
