In 2016, he was honored with induction into the prestigious Harness Racing Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding career. With an impressive record of over 9,600 victories and purses exceeding $170 million, Sears has firmly established himself as a formidable force in the harness racing world. In July 2017, he was inducted into the Harness Racing Museum in Goshen, New York. Please note that on March 26, 2019, Sears was arrested for Battery after an alleged incident at a restaurant in Deerfield Beach, FL.
