Brian Charles Thornton (born April 22, 1985) is an American volleyball player. He played for the University of California, Irvine from 2004 to 2007, where he helped the team win the 2007 NCAA Division I men's volleyball national championship. Thornton is also a member of the United States national team, having joined in 2009. He represented the U.S. at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Throughout his college career, Thornton set multiple records, including the school record for career set assists with 4,662. He has also been recognized for his achievements, making the All-American second team and the NCAA All-Tournament team.
