Brian Vernel Biography
Brian Vernel (born 29 December 1990) is a Scottish actor known for his roles in film and television. He gained recognition for his role as Bala-Tik in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where he spoke with a Glaswegian accent. Vernel also portrayed the character Odda the Younger in the TV series The Last Kingdom and Billy Wallace in Gangs of London. He received his training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland after completing a one-year general arts foundation course at Glasgow University. In addition to his screen work, Vernel has appeared in various stage productions, including The Seagull, Barbarians, Future Conditional, and Macbeth.
