Brian Wilson

Brian Wilson, born on June 20, 1942, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as the co-founder of the Beach Boys, a band that he joined in 1961. Wilson played multiple roles within the band, serving as the songwriter, producer, co-lead vocalist, bassist, keyboardist, and de facto leader. Regarded as a genius for his innovative pop composition approaches, musical aptitude, and mastery of recording techniques, Wilson is widely recognized as one of the most significant songwriters of the 20th century. His work is known for its high production values, complex harmonies and orchestrations, layered vocals, and introspective or ingenuous themes. Wilson has also faced challenges with mental illness throughout his life.
