Briga Heelan is an American actress and comedian, known for her work on popular sitcoms such as Cougar Town, Ground Floor, Undateable, Love, Great News, and B Positive. She was born on April 2, 1987, in Andover, Massachusetts, to actress and teacher Kimball Heelan and playwright Kevin Heelan. Growing up, her father was a faculty member at Phillips Andover Academy. Briga attended Walnut Hill School for the Arts and later transferred to the University of Southern California, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She initially intended to focus on musical theatre and met her Ground Floor co-star, Skylar Astin, at a musical theatre convention.
