Brooke Jenkins

Brooke Jenkins (born 1981/1982) is an American lawyer and politician currently serving as the 30th District Attorney of San Francisco. She was appointed as interim district attorney in July 2022 after the successful recall of Chesa Boudin, and later elected to fill the unexpired term in November. Jenkins grew up in Union City, California and is the daughter of a father from El Salvador. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School. Prior to her political career, Jenkins worked in corporate law, defending automotive manufacturers such as Honda and Takata. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2011.
