Bruce Daniels
Bruce Daniels is an American hydroclimatologist, business executive, and computer programmer. He is known as one of the pioneers of the personal computer and user-friendly interfaces in Silicon Valley. Daniels earned his Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Cruz, with an Sc.B. and S.M. in computer science from MIT. Specializing in water-related impacts of climate change, particularly in the American West, he has made significant contributions to decisions concerning California water quality since 2003 as a member of the state's Regional Water Quality Control Board. Daniels has also worked as a computer programmer and business executive for companies like Hewlett Packard, Apple Computer, Oracle, Borland, Sun Microsystems, and his own start-up, Singular Software.
