Bruce McGuire Biography
Bruce McGuire (born 31 January 1962) is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He played as a forward for the Balmain Tigers in the New South Wales Rugby League premiership from 1986 to 1990 and for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs from 1991 to 1992. McGuire represented New South Wales City in 1988 and New South Wales State of Origin in 1989 and 1990. He also played for the Australian national team in two tests against New Zealand in 1989. Known for his skill and dedication, McGuire is listed on the Australian Players Register as Kangaroo No. 595. He concluded his rugby league career in England, playing for the Sheffield Eagles and the Warrington Wolves from 1994 to 1996.
