Bruce McKenzie
Bruce McKenzie (1 January 1919 – 24 May 1978) was a South African-born Kenyan politician and Minister of Agriculture during the presidency of Jomo Kenyatta. Prior to his political career, McKenzie served in the South African Air Force during World War II, where he saw action in North Africa and Europe. He emigrated to Kenya in 1946 and became a successful farmer in Nakuru. In addition to his role in politics, McKenzie was a member of the Legislative Council in Colonial Kenya from 1957-1963. He was assassinated on the orders of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin. McKenzie is also alleged to have been an agent for British, South African, or Israeli intelligence, as claimed by various individuals.
