Burnie Burns, born on January 18, 1973, is an American writer, actor, producer, comedian, host, and director. He is a co-founder, former CEO, and former CCO of Rooster Teeth, a production company based in Austin, Texas. Burns is known for his contributions in machinima, a form of film-making that utilizes video game technology. He has worked with animation and live-action projects as well. In 2003, Burns co-created the popular machinima series, Red vs. Blue: The Blood Gulch Chronicles, filmed using Halo. His success with Red vs. Blue led to his involvement with Electronic Arts, creating a promotional series. Burns is also recognized for his work in hosting and podcasting.
