Byron Allen Biography
Byron Allen Folks, born on April 22, 1961, is an American businessman, television producer, and comedian. He is the founder of Entertainment Studios, a U.S. media company with interests in television production, broadcasting, film production, and digital media. Originally from Detroit, Allen moved to Los Angeles and started his career in stand-up comedy. His television work includes hosting NBC's Real People. In 1993, he established what would later become Entertainment Studios. Allen's interest in show business began in his childhood, accompanying his mother, Carolyn Folks, to NBC Studios where she worked as a publicist. With a passion for comedy, Allen started performing in comedy clubs at a young age.
