Calvin Dean Biography
Calvin Ainsley Dean (born 21 May 1985) is an English actor best known for his portrayal of Darren Mullet in the 2009 film Tormented. He was born in Truro, Cornwall and grew up in Polruan, Cornwall. Dean attended Polruan Primary School and later Fowey Community College. He discovered the National Youth Theatre while in secondary school and joined the company from 2001 to 2005. During this time, he appeared in various productions at the National Theatre including The Threepenny Opera and Murder in the Cathedral. Dean trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London from 2004 to 2007, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Acting. He made his professional debut in The Duchess (2008) alongside Keira Knightley.
