Calvin King

Calvin R. King (born 1953) is an American farm developer and the President of the Arkansas Land and Farm Development Corp. He graduated from Philander Smith College in 1975. King is known for his work in the agricultural field, particularly for his collaboration with the Farmers Home Association to create the Outreach Training and Technical Assistance program. In recognition of his contributions, King received various awards including the 1990 MacArthur Fellows Program and the 1990 National Partnership Award by the United States Department of Agriculture. He was also honored with the 1989 Arkansas Public Service Award. King has been featured in the media, including an interview titled 'African-American Farmers: Working the Plough' on Living on Earth in January 1997.
