    Calvin Ross (born c. 1945) is an American former law enforcement officer who served as Chief of Police of the City of Miami from 1991 to 1994. He then went on to serve as Secretary of Juvenile Justice of Florida, overseeing juvenile justice programs. From 2001 to 2012, Ross served as the police chief of Florida A&M University. Born in Overtown and raised in Liberty City, two of the poorest areas in Miami, Ross graduated from Biscayne College with a degree in criminal justice. He had a 23-year career with the Miami police department, starting as a patrolman and eventually becoming police chief. In 1992, Ross was appointed by Governor Lawton Chiles to a state panel on contraband forfeiture practices.
