Camila Ashland Biography
Camila Ashland (March 24, 1911 – September 12, 2008) was an American actress known for her roles in various television shows and movies. She gained recognition for her role as Minnie Du Val in Dark Shadows and for her performances in the soap opera General Hospital as Alice Grant. Ashland also appeared in the NBC miniseries V and its sequel, V: The Final Battle, playing the character Ruby Engels. She made guest appearances on popular shows such as The Golden Girls, Cheers, St. Elsewhere, Hardcastle and McCormick, and Taxi. In addition to her television work, Ashland had a successful career on Broadway, appearing in productions like Darling of the Day, Dear World, and Follies. She was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in Black Comedy/White Lies. Ashland was married to Broadway director James Vincent Russo, and together they adopted a son named Walter Russo.
