Candy Clark Biography
Candy Clark is an American actress and model. Born in Norman, Oklahoma, she grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and attended Green B. Trimble Technical High School. In 1972, Clark made her acting debut in the film Fat City, directed by John Huston. She gained recognition for her role as Debbie Dunham in the 1973 film American Graffiti, which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Clark also starred in notable films such as The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976), The Big Sleep (1978), Q (1982), Blue Thunder (1983), and Cat's Eye (1985). She has appeared in various other films and most recently portrayed the mother of Mark Whitacre in the 2009 film The Informant!. Clark's talents extend to the stage, having worked on the play Images of Louise Brooks in 2011.
