Candy Crowley Biography
Candy Alt Crowley (born December 26, 1948) is an American news anchor and former CNN chief political correspondent. She specialized in American national and state elections and was based in CNN's Washington, D.C. bureau. Crowley was the anchor of the Sunday morning talk show State of the Union with Candy Crowley. With over two decades of experience, she is well-known for her coverage of elections. Crowley was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and grew up in Creve Coeur, Missouri. She attended The Principia School in St. Louis County and graduated in 1966. Afterward, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia. Crowley began her career as a newsroom assistant at WASH-FM, a Washington, D.C.-based radio station.
