Carlos Miranda Biography
Carlos Miranda, born Luis Carlos Miranda Cordal on July 17, 1945 in Santiago, Chile, is a Spanish composer, pianist, conductor, and actor. He began his career in Chile, studying composition with Gustavo Becerra-Schmidt and piano with Flora Guerra. Miranda then moved to Italy, where he apprenticed on films by Franco Zeffirelli and Pier Paolo Pasolini. Eventually, he settled in London and worked as a pianist and accompanist for various artists and dance teachers. Miranda later won a British Council Scholarship to the Royal College of Music, where he studied piano, composition, and conducting. He has also performed as a pianist for the Rambert Dance Company. Miranda's diverse talents have made him a notable figure in the world of music and acting.
