Carol Morley

Carol Anne Morley (born 14 January 1966) is an English film director, screenwriter, and producer. She gained recognition for her semi-documentary film 'Dreams of a Life' (2011) which explores the life and death of Joyce Carol Vincent. Born in Stockport, Cheshire, Morley began her career as a singer in various bands before transitioning to filmmaking. Her older brother is renowned music journalist and producer Paul Morley. Morley's personal experiences, including her father's suicide and struggles with alcohol, have influenced her work. She has made notable contributions to the film industry and continues to create thought-provoking films.
