She is known for her participation in the 2008 Summer Olympics, where she competed in the triathlon event. Murray finished 29th in the competition and was the top female Canadian athlete. She is an alumna of Simon Fraser University. Additionally, Murray's mother, Laurie Murray, is also a renowned triathlete and ranks 3rd in the world in the 60 plus category.
