Catherine Bott (born September 11, 1952) is a British soprano and Baroque specialist. She is also known for her broadcasting career. Bott studied at The King's High School For Girls and Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Arthur Reckless. She began her career as a member of The Swingle Singers, later known as 'Swingle II,' an English Baroque-jazz crossover group. Bott has performed with the New London Consort and various period-instrument groups across Europe, Latin America, and the USSR. She has recorded extensively, including notable performances as Dido in Purcell's 'Dido and Aeneas' and Venus in John Blow's 'Venus and Adonis.' Bott has also collaborated with esteemed conductors such as Christopher Hogwood, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, and Stephen Cleobury.
