Cezar Zamfir

Cezar Zamfir, born on October 27, 1966 in Bucharest, is a Romanian former footballer who played as a midfielder. He began his football career in 1986 with Progresul București and later played for Inter Sibiu. In 1989, Zamfir joined Dinamo București and achieved great success, winning the league title, the cup, and reaching the semi-finals of the 1989–90 European Cup Winners' Cup. From 1991 to 1998, Zamfir played for Rapid București, where he reached two cup finals, winning one. He concluded his playing career at Gloria Bistrița. Zamfir also had 23 appearances in European competitions. After retiring as a player, Zamfir transitioned to coaching and worked as an assistant at Sportul Studențesc București until 2010.
