Charles Harrelson
Charles Voyde Harrelson (July 23, 1938 – March 15, 2007) was an American contract killer and organized crime figure. He gained notoriety for assassinating federal judge John H. Wood Jr., the first federal judge to be assassinated in the 20th century. Harrelson was born on July 23, 1937, in Lovelady, Texas. He was married multiple times and had four children, including actors Brett and Woody Harrelson. Before his criminal activities, Harrelson worked as an encyclopedia salesman and a professional gambler. In 1960, he was convicted of armed robbery and later admitted to being involved in numerous murders. Woody Harrelson, his son, is a well-known actor.
