    Chelsea Emily Cutler, born on February 11, 1997, is an American singer, songwriter, and producer hailing from Westport, Connecticut. She gained recognition with the release of her debut studio album titled 'How to Be Human' in January 2020, which reached number 23 on the Billboard 200 chart. Chelsea was born and raised in Westport and comes from a mixed religious background, with a Jewish father and Catholic mother. Growing up, she played acoustic musical instruments before transitioning into producing electronic music in high school. Chelsea started sharing covers and original songs on her SoundCloud page while attending the Pomfret School and continued to do so while studying at Amherst College. In 2018, she made the decision to pursue music full-time after being offered a support role on Quinn XCII's national tour.
