Chris Brown is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and actor born on May 5, 1989. He is known as one of the most successful R&B singers of all time and has been referred to as the 'King of R&B' by contemporaries. Brown's musical style is polyhedric, combining influences from R&B, pop, and hip hop. His lyrics often explore themes of romance, sex, fast life, desire, lovesickness, regret, emotional conflict, and loneliness. In 2004, Brown signed with Jive Records and released his self-titled debut studio album the following year, which achieved triple platinum certification. He gained widespread recognition with his debut single 'Run It!', which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
