Christopher Eric Lane, born on November 9, 1984, is an American country music singer and songwriter. He gained popularity as the frontman of the Chris Lane Band before pursuing a solo career. Lane has released three albums: 'Girl Problems', 'Laps Around the Sun', and a self-titled album. His music is predominantly in the country genre and has charted seven singles on Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay, including three No. 1 hits like 'Fix', 'I Don't Know About You', and 'Big, Big Plans'. Born and raised in Kernersville, North Carolina, Lane attended Glenn High School and later played baseball in college at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Lane's passion for music developed after sports injuries impacted his baseball career, leading him to learn the guitar and form a cover band. In 2007, he and his twin brother auditioned for American Idol.
