Christopher Sean Lowe, born on October 4, 1959, is an English musician, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the co-founder of the synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, which he formed with Neil Tennant in 1981. Lowe attended the Arnold School in Blackpool, Lancashire, where he played trombone in a dance band called One Under the Eight. He also learned to play the piano. While studying architecture at the University of Liverpool, Lowe never graduated due to the formation of Pet Shop Boys. Before his music career, he designed a staircase for an industrial estate in Milton Keynes during a work placement in 1981. Lowe's contributions to the music industry have solidified his status as a prominent figure in the synth-pop genre.
