Chris Metzen

Christopher Vincent Metzen (born November 22, 1973) is an American game designer, artist, voice actor, and author. He is best known for his work creating the fictional universes and scripts for Blizzard Entertainment's three major award-winning media franchises: Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft. Metzen started at Blizzard Entertainment as an animator and artist, working on video games such as Justice League Task Force. He later became the Senior Vice President of Story and Franchise Development, contributing to character design and providing voice talent for various characters, notably Thrall in Warcraft. Metzen retired in 2016 but returned to the company as a creative advisor in 2022. He has also co-authored graphic novels, including Transformers: Autocracy and Transformers Monstrosity.
