Chris Sanders
Chris Sanders is an American animator, director, screenwriter, producer, illustrator, and voice actor. Born on March 12, 1962, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he attended Arvada High School and graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 1984. Sanders began his career as a character designer for Jim Henson's Muppet Babies and later became the head storyboard artist for Walt Disney Feature Animation. He has worked on various Disney animated films, including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King. Sanders is best known for his collaborations with Dean DeBlois, co-writing and co-directing films like Lilo & Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon. He also created the story behind Lilo & Stitch and voiced the character in the film and its franchise. Additionally, he co-directed The Croods and worked on The Call of the Wild.
