Christopher Ryan Snyder (born February 12, 1981) is an American former professional baseball catcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Houston Astros, and the Baltimore Orioles. Snyder attended Spring Woods High School and the University of Houston. In college, he excelled as a player, leading his team in various categories and earning honors such as All-Conference USA second team and a spot on the All-Tournament Team in the Conference USA Tournament. Snyder was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 1999 but chose to attend college. He was later selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2nd round of the 2002 MLB draft.
