Christopher Doyle

Christopher Doyle, also known as Dù Kěfēng (Mandarin) or Dou Ho-Fung (Cantonese), is an Australian-Hong Kong cinematographer born on 2 May 1952. He has worked on over fifty Chinese-language films and is renowned for his collaborations with Wong Kar-wai in movies like Chungking Express, Happy Together, In the Mood for Love, and 2046. Doyle has also contributed to films such as Temptress Moon, Hero, Dumplings, and Psycho. He has received awards at prestigious film festivals like Cannes and Venice, as well as the AFI Award, Golden Horse Award (four times), and Hong Kong Film Award (six times). Born in Sydney, Australia, in 1952, Doyle embarked on a journey at the age of eighteen, eventually arriving in Taiwan and establishing connections with notable figures like Stan Lai and Ding Nai-chu.
